“I’d spent — wasted? — a couple of years writing a comic that not many people would ever read or care about or know existed.”
I read, and I would like to thank you for writing those 12 issues. Their side story in Sandman was my favourite, and I was unbelievably delighted at the continuation of their story in your hands and Mark Buckingham’s (and Shelly Bond’s). I have the two volumes sat on my shelf in pride and place.
I plan on watching the series this evening. I appreciate hearing your thoughts behind everything, and this was a great entry.
I just finished the 12 issue run from purchasing the omnibus. I can fully say I loved it so much, and wanted it so badly to continue. Thank you!
Also I read the bonus extra notes? What made you change a large amount of the story from the original plan? Like Paine feeling the friendship strain as Rowland wanted a taste of life again for example?
Love the humility and wisdom of this - thanks for pulling back the curtain in the very moment that could have been all fanfare and no foible.
I just want to say, in response to this:

Once again it was a fantastic run in my eyes.
